The Procession of Dhekiajuli

In September 1942, ordinary villagers marched to hoist the tricolour atop the Dhekiajuli police station in Assam. Facing a brutal wall of British bullets, the crowd refused to retreat. Brave women and teenagers stood on the front lines, charging through unprovoked gunfire to plant the flag and unleashing a fierce wave of rebellion. Delhivery bows to the valour of the people of Dhekiajuli, whose sacrifices paved our way to freedom.
