The Rebellions of Bastar
In 1910, the tribes of Bastar rose in the Bhumkal against British forest laws that barred them from their own land. Led by Gunda Dhur of Nethanar, Gond and Dhurwa fighters waged guerrilla war, looting colonial granaries and torching outposts. The British took three months to regain control, but Gunda Dhur was never captured. Delhivery bows to the valour of the people of Bastar, whose sacrifices paved our way to freedom.
