The Youths of Nandurbar
In September 1942, Nandurbar, Maharashtra became the site of an unforgettable act of youth defiance. Led by 15-year-old Shirishkumar Mehta, school children marched through town carrying the National Flag during the Quit India Movement. When colonial police blocked the procession with loaded rifles, Shirishkumar and four schoolmates shielded the flag with their bodies, taking the bullets. Delhivery bows to the valour of the people of Nandurbar, whose sacrifices paved our way to freedom.
