The Satyagraha of Turia
In October 1930, Turia near Seoni, Madhya Pradesh rose in defiance against draconian British timber laws. Tribal villagers marched into government forests to cut grass and assert their traditional rights during the Forest Satyagraha. When police fired on the peaceful assembly, four martyrs—Guddobai, Renabai, Bemabai, and Birju Gond—laid down their lives. Delhivery bows to the valour of the people of Turia, whose sacrifices paved our way to freedom.
