The Archers of Wayanad
Between 1793 and 1805, the misty rainforests of Wayanad, Kerala served as the impregnable base for Pazhassi Raja’s guerrilla campaign. Utilizing their deep knowledge of mountain passes, native Kurichiya archers ambushed East India Company forces in the Cotiote War, inflicting crushing defeats on British regiments and halting colonial conquest in Malabar. Delhivery bows to the valour of the people of Wayanad, whose sacrifices paved our way to freedom.
