The Martyrs of Patna
In August 1942, during the height of the Quit India Movement, the city of Patna, Bihar became the battleground for intense student-led resistance. Following the arrest of national leaders, thousands of young students marched towards the Patna Secretariat to hoist the Tricolor. Facing heavy police firing at the gates, seven young brave hearts—known as the Saat Shahid—sacrificed their lives holding the flag high. Their martyrdom ignited an uncontrollable wave of rebellion across Patna and the entire state. Delhivery bows to the valour of the people of Patna, whose sacrifices paved our way to freedom.
