The Shield of Khonoma

Perched in the hills of Northeast, Khonoma, Nagaland stands as a fortress of defiance. Between 1832 and 1880, its fierce Angami Naga warriors fought relentless battles against British expansion. Defending their land, their ingenious stone fortifications and raw heroics during the 1879 siege forced a heavily armed British army to cease violence. Delhivery bows to the valour of the people of Khonoma, whose sacrifices paved our way to freedom.
