The Siege of Mayurbhanj

In 1917, the tribal Santhal community of Mayurbhanj, Odisha launched a fierce uprising against colonial authorities. Arming themselves with traditional bows and arrows, they cut telegraph wires and dismantled tracks. Their courage and strategic guerrilla warfare left a deep dent in transit networks across eastern India.
