The Fearlessness of Malerkotla
In January 1872, the fearless Kuka revolutionaries rose against British forces in Malerkotla, Punjab to challenge imperial laws. After a fierce clash, sixty-six captured revolutionaries were condemned to death by cannon fire, facing their ultimate sacrifice. Refusing blindfolds, the martyrs walked up standing tall, smiling directly into the face of colonial cruelty.
