The Night of Hyderabad

On 17 July 1857, 5,000 people led by Turrebaz Khan launched a daring night assault on the British Residency in Hyderabad to free a captured comrade. Though repelled that night, Turrebaz was arrested and sentenced to life in exile. A year and a half later, he broke out of prison before being martyred in defiance of the Empire. Delhivery bows to the valour of the people of Hyderabad, whose sacrifices paved our way to freedom.
