The March of Jaito

In February 1924, 500 peaceful volunteers marched from Amritsar to Jaito in protest against the British removal of Nabha’s nationalist ruler. At Jaito, colonial troops opened fire on the unarmed procession, killing and wounding hundreds. The massacre drew nationwide condemnation, uniting regional resistance with India’s wider freedom struggle. Delhivery bows to the valour of the people of Jaito, whose sacrifices paved our way to freedom.
