The Mutiny of Danapur

On 25 July 1857, three sepoy regiments at Danapur cantonment rose in revolt, defying British orders, crossing the Son river to join 80-year-old leader Veer Kunwar Singh. Together, they liberated Arrah and laid siege to the local British garrison, sparking one of eastern India’s most formidable military uprisings during 1857. Delhivery bows to the valour of the people of Danapur, whose sacrifices paved our way to freedom.
