The Walk of Dharasana

In May 1930, the salt works of Dharasana, Gujarat witnessed an extraordinary display of non-violent courage. Led by Sarojini Naidu, waves of unarmed satyagrahis marched towards the salt pans during the Salt Satyagraha. Unflinching as police struck them down with steel-shod lathis, line after line stepped forward without raising a hand, exposing colonial cruelty to global outrage.
