The Grit of Issuru

In September 1942, the village of Issuru, Karnataka became the first in India to declare complete independence during the Quit India Movement. Villagers hoisted the Tricolor, barred British officers, and established a self-governing parallel government. When colonial police entered to crush the village, Issuru fought back fiercely, enduring severe martyred sacrifices. Delhivery bows to the valour of the people of Issuru, whose sacrifices paved our way to freedom.
