The Fortitude of Sarupathar
In October 1942, Sarupathar in Golaghat, Assam became the site of a heroic Quit India sabotage action. Patriots derailed a British military train carrying imperial troops and munitions to disrupt colonial war transport. The incident triggered a massive colonial crackdown, leading to the martyrdom of Kushal Konwar, who went to the gallows silently to protect his comrades. Delhivery bows to the valour of the people of Sarupathar, whose sacrifices paved our way to freedom.
