The Assembly of Pajhota

In 1942, the Pajhota region of Sirmaur, Himachal Pradesh launched a formidable parallel movement during the Quit India Movement. Organized under the Pajhota Kisan Sabha, local farmers refused forced labor and colonial taxes, setting up independent village assemblies. Enduring harsh state crackdowns, their defiance shook British authority across the hills. Delhivery bows to the valour of the people of Pajhota, whose sacrifices paved our way to freedom.
