The Outrage of Renadu

In June 1846, Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy led a formidable armed revolt across the Renadu region of Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh. Outraged by East India Company land seizures and peasant extortion, Reddy organized thousands of local warriors to attack British treasuries and outposts, waging a fierce campaign before his martyrdom.
