The Triumph of Kotgarh

In 1921, the valley of Kotgarh, Himachal Pradesh launched a triumphant revolt against colonial forced labor. Spearheaded by Satyananda Stokes, local farmers organized absolute non-cooperation and refused unpaid service to British officials, forcing colonial authorities to completely abolish the system across the hills.
