The Valour of Devakottai

In August 1942, Devakottai, Tamil Nadu erupted during Quit India. Enraged by police brutality, thousands stormed colonial offices, freed jailed patriots, and severed supply lines. When British forces fired into the crowd, 75 brave souls were martyred. Devakottai’s valour proved the fire of freedom burned unquenched.
